statement of faith

We believe …

... in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Scriptures which are the believer’s ultimate authority on matters of faith and practice

... in the inerrancy and infallibility of Scripture

... in one God, eternally existing in Three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit

... that the Eternal Son of God became incarnate by means of the Virgin Birth, and that He made atonement for man’s sins through His sacrificial and substitutionary death on the cross

... that salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and received by a personal act of faith in the Lord Jesus

... that Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation for mankind

... in the resurrection and glorious ascension of Christ

... that the Holy Spirit was sent to the church at Pentecost to regenerate, baptize, sanctify and equip the believers with power to minister

... that believers should pursue holiness and seek to be “filled with the Spirit” throughout their Christian lives

... that believers should seek both the gifts of the Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit as taught in Scripture

... in the authority of the Church, whose task is to glorify God, edify the Body members and preach the Gospel to the world

... in the ordinances which the Lord gave to the church: holy communion and baptism, which are to be administered to those who profess faith in Christ

... that the purpose of church leadership is to serve in the overseeing capacity and to train and equip the saints for the work of the ministry

... in the ministry of “laying on of hands” for the purposes of prayer, ordination of ministry, blessing, healing, and dedication through faith

... in the consummation of all things when Jesus Christ will personally and visibly appear to judge the earth and inaugurate a “new heaven and a new earth”

... that eternal life awaits the believer and everlasting punishment awaits the unrepentant
